You have been specially selected to participate in creating a news cast about hurricanes with three of your classmates. Each group member will play a role in responding to a specific hurricane situation. There will be more to come on this special assignment later, but first lets get started on some important information about hurricanes that each of you should know before you play a role in the group.

Your Task:

You will learn about hurricanes, how they are formed and the damage they can cause. Also, you will get a true understanding of the tragedies and be given a venue to talk about them and get the answers to questions that you have about hurricanes.

In this WebQuest you will be working together with a group of students in class. Each group will answer the Task or question. As a member of the group you will explore Webpages from people all over the world who care about Hurricanes!. Because these are real Webpages we're tapping into, not things made just for schools, the reading level might challenge you. Feel free to use the online dictionary or one in your classroom.

You'll begin with everyone in your group getting some background before dividing into roles where people on your team become experts on one part of the topic.
