Implementation:
The webquest is structured to be performed in groups of 4. The entire class completes all of the "Background Activities" then each student in the group takes on a role and completes a news segment from that perspective. All four segments will be performed for the class to create the complete news cast (including meteorologist, historian, mayor, and citizen perspectives.)
Press Conference! You might want to have your students perform the news casts and have a short press conference for each group after they are done. Invite other students to ask questions, challenge thinking, and ask for more supporting evidence. Each group will probably have different information and approaches, this gives them the opportunity to compare and gain more insight.

Feedback Forum:
You are invited and encouraged to provied feed back after your class completes every lesson. Think about what worked well and what could be done better. We have set up a forum for teachers to discuss and reflect on the project through the "Hurricanes" conference on your desk top.
